Highlighting that to develop the eco-tourism, adventure and water sports and tourism sector as a whole in full potential is one of the top priorities of the Punjab government, Minister for Tourism and Cultural Affairs and Investment Promotion, Anmol Gagan Maan, said that the government is taking necessary steps to promote the tourism in the state. While addressing the gathering during the Punjab Day function celebrated on Saturday at India International Trade Fair 2023, Anmol Gagan Maan said that the government is leaving no stone unturned to explore every aspect of the tourism arena in Punjab so that the NRI Punjabis, international as well as domestic travellers would feel the richness and true essence of culture and historical aspects of Punjab.
The Punjab Tourism Minister further said that it is for the first time that the heritage fairs and festivals are being organised by the government and for this purpose a budget of Rs 15 crore has been allocated. She said that the tourism summit organised by the government during the current year was a huge success and the government’s aim is to make the state frontrunner in terms of tourism in the country. During the function, renowned Punjabi singer Afsana Khan enthralled the audience with her performance.
