Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, asserted on Saturday that every poor person in India is a VIP for him and attributed the recent assembly election victories in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan to the trust people have in his “guarantee”.
Addressing beneficiaries of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ virtually, Modi emphasized, “For me, every poor of this country is a VIP. The recent assembly election results clearly show that people trust the guarantee of Modi. I am deeply grateful to all who have shown their faith in my promise.”
He further criticised other political parties, stating, “Some political parties fail to understand that they cannot gain anything through false promises. Elections are not won on social media but by connecting with the people on the ground. Before winning the elections, it is crucial to win the hearts of the people.”
Modi’s comments come after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured victories in the recent assembly elections in three key states, consolidating its hold on the political landscape. He credited the victories to the party’s commitment to improving the lives of the poor and fulfilling its promises.
