Ayodhya, January 22

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today actively participated in the momentous Pran Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla at the newly constructed Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Mandir in Ayodhya of Uttar Pradesh. Engaging with the shramjeevi who contributed to the temple’s construction, Modi expressed deep emotions during the ceremony, congratulating citizens on the long-awaited occasion.

In his address, the Prime Minister remarked on the arrival of Lord Ram after centuries of patience, sacrifices, and penance. He conveyed the ineffable experience within the ‘Garbh Grih’ (inner sanctum), describing his body pulsating with energy and mind devoted to the moment of Pran Pratishtha.

Asserting that Ram Lalla will no longer reside in a temporary structure, Modi expressed confidence in the divine temple becoming his permanent home. He emphasized the supernatural and sacred nature of the moment, signifying the blessings of Lord Ram upon the nation.

Modi declared January 22, 2024, as the origin of a new ‘kaal chakra,’ highlighting the continuous rise in the nation’s joyous mood since the ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ of Ram Janmabhoomi Temple. He referred to the day as receiving the heritage of centuries of patience and acquiring Shri Ram’s temple.

The Prime Minister foresaw the day being discussed for centuries to come, attributing it to the blessings of Lord Ram. He described the atmosphere as brimming with divinity and emphasized that this is not an ordinary time but an indelible memory path being imprinted on time.

Acknowledging divine entities, Modi apologized to Prabhu Shri Ram for the delayed realization of this day and expressed gratitude for overcoming a prolonged legal battle post-independence. He thanked the Judiciary for ensuring justice and highlighted that the temple’s construction was through just means.

Modi shared that the entire nation, including small villages, is celebrating with processions and cleanliness campaigns. Comparing the day to Diwali, he mentioned the preparation to light up ‘Ram Jyoti’ in every household.

Reflecting on his visit to Arichal Munai, the starting point of Ram Setu, Modi drew an analogy, believing that the day would alter the circle of time. He expressed gratitude for the journey from the sea to the Saryu river, connecting the festive spirit of Ram’s name across various locations.

Recognizing Ram’s connection to every particle of India’s soul, Modi appreciated the feeling of oneness and emphasized it as a perfect formula for collectiveness. He recalled listening to Shri Ram Katha in different languages, emphasizing the continuity of Ram’s ideals, values, and teachings.

Expressing gratitude for the sacrifices that made the day possible, Modi paid tributes to Saints, Kar Sewaks, and Ram Bhakts. He characterized the occasion as not just a celebration but also a realization of Indian society’s maturity and humility.

Governor of Uttar Pradesh Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, and President of Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust Shri Nritya Gopal Das were among the dignitaries present at the event.
