Amidst widespread speculation and the political moniker of “Aaya Ram Gaya Ram,” Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar officially resigned today. He has submitted his resignation to the Governor, bringing an end to the uncertainty surrounding his leadership.
Addressing the media after the resignation, Nitish Kumar said, “I have resigned as the Chief Minister and also informed the Governor to dissolve the government in the state. This decision arose because not everything was in order. I considered opinions from all quarters and today, the government has been dissolved.”
Moreover, reports indicate that Bihar MLAs unanimously approved the proposal to establish an NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government in the state, comprising the BJP, JD(U), and other allies. Samrat Chaudhary has been elected as the Leader of the legislative party, with Vijay Sinha chosen as the Deputy Leader.
In response to the recent political developments, BJP MP Sushil Kumar Modi expressed his approval of Nitish Kumar’s decision. He welcomed the move, asserting that the RJD-JDU alliance was deemed unnatural and unsustainable from the beginning. Sushil Kumar Modi expressed satisfaction, anticipating that the JDU and BJP would now collaborate to establish a new government. He conveyed optimism, stating, “I hope that the formation of the new government will be concluded within the next 2-3 hours.”
BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said that if the architect of this alliance, Nitish Kumar, indicates its futility, then the INDIA alliance has no prospects, BJP is poised for a historic victory in the Lok Sabha polls and in Bihar, we anticipate winning all 40 seats.
