Khanna, February 10
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal firmly dismissed any prospect of seat sharing with the Opposition’s INDIA alliance in Punjab and Chandigarh, affirming that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will field candidates across all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab and one in Chandigarh.
Speaking at a gathering in Khanna, Punjab, Kejriwal outlined AAP’s electoral strategy, declaring intentions to announce candidates for all 14 seats within the next 10-15 days, with elections slated in two months. Emphasizing the need for a sweeping victory, he urged supporters to ensure AAP’s dominance in all 14 constituencies.
Addressing the crowd, Kejriwal appealed for continued support, recalling the historic mandate AAP received two years prior, securing 92 out of 117 seats in Punjab’s legislative assembly.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann echoed Kejriwal’s sentiments, asserting Punjab’s determination to shine as a beacon of change by securing all 13 Lok Sabha seats for AAP in the upcoming general elections. He reiterated the government’s commitment to welfare initiatives, expressing confidence in garnering widespread public backing.
Mann envisaged a resounding victory of 13-0, envisioning a definitive endorsement of the state government’s pro-people policies while condemning the opposition’s purported anti-Punjab stance. He pledged to make history with a unanimous verdict in favor of AAP, underscoring the electorate’s rejection of divisive politics.
