Describing India and the UAE as “partners in progress,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the robust ties between the two nations, portraying them as a global model. At the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event, Modi emphasized the deepening relationship, highlighting its multifaceted nature spanning talent, innovation, and culture.
“Our partnership is evolving and ascending to new heights across various domains. India earnestly desires for this partnership to continue strengthening with each passing day,” Modi stated, emphasizing the significance of the bond between India and the UAE.
Addressing the Indian community, Modi underscored the significance of the partnership, portraying it as emblematic of talent, innovation, and cultural exchange, thus solidifying the bilateral relationship between the two nations.
Prime Minister Modi received an enthusiastic welcome from the 40,000-strong audience upon his arrival at the Zayed Sports City stadium in Abu Dhabi.
During his address, Prime Minister Modi lauded the invaluable contributions of the Indian Diaspora in fortifying bilateral ties between India and the UAE. He expressed gratitude to the UAE Rulers and Government for their hospitality and unwavering support to the Indian community, particularly during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic, where significant assistance was provided.
Reflecting on India’s progress over the past decade, Prime Minister Modi articulated his vision for India’s future, aspiring to ascend to the rank of the world’s third-largest economy by 2030, en route to achieving the status of a developed nation – Viksit Bharat – by 2047. He emphasized India’s role as a global partner, contributing to worldwide advancement and welfare.
With approximately 3.5 million Indian nationals, the UAE hosts the largest population of Indian citizens globally. Extensive preparations spanning several months preceded the ‘Ahlan Modi’ event, aiming to ensure its profound impact and lasting significance.
