NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 29
India’s economic growth surged to 8.4% in the third quarter (Q3) of 2023-24, driven by strong performances in manufacturing, mining and quarrying, and construction sectors, according to data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) on Thursday. The NSO pegged the country’s growth at 7.6% for the entire fiscal year 2023-24. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hailed the robust economic growth, highlighting its potential to improve the lives of 1.4 billion Indians and build a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (developed India). He emphasized the government’s continued efforts to achieve faster economic growth.
