A landmark tripartite agreement was inked between the Centre, the Tripura government, and the Indigenous Progressive Regional Alliance, commonly referred to as Tripura Motha, alongside other key stakeholders in New Delhi today. This significant event saw the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, Tipra Motha leader Pradyot Debbarma, and various other eminent figures. On this occasion, Home Minister Shah emphasized the historic importance of the day for Tripura. He lauded the collective efforts, particularly under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aimed at realizing the vision of a North East region free from insurgency, violence, and conflicts. Shah highlighted the substantial progress made, noting the integration of ten thousand individuals into the mainstream after relinquishing arms. This, he emphasized, has fostered an atmosphere conducive to development across the North East.
