PM Modi credited key leaders Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar for their leadership in securing the win. “This historic victory reflects the people’s faith in our governance model,” Modi said, noting that Maharashtra is now the sixth state where BJP has won three consecutive mandates.
He highlighted BJP’s strong performance in by-elections across Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, and Bihar. Modi emphasized that voters rejected divisive politics, rallying around unity and the BJP’s vision for a developed India.
“Maharashtra, the land of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, has once again shown the path against appeasement politics,” Modi said. He underscored BJP’s efforts to promote the Marathi language and culture, contrasting it with Congress’s failure to grant Marathi classical language status during its decades in power.
Addressing Congress’s alleged attempts to revive Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, Modi declared, “This mandate reaffirms that the entire nation adheres to Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s Constitution. No power can reinstate Article 370.”
Modi criticized Congress and its allies for their stance on Veer Savarkar and Balasaheb Thackeray. “This election exposed the INDI alliance’s hypocrisy. They sought votes in Maharashtra while disrespecting Balasaheb’s ideology and Savarkar’s legacy.”
The Prime Minister concluded by reaffirming BJP’s commitment to “Nation First” and its focus on inclusive development for all communities.
