PM gets rousing welcome from BJP MPs

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday lauded the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) impressive victories in the recent assembly elections of Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Addressing party workers, he highlighted the comfortable majority secured by the BJP in these states and its expanding base in Mizoram and Telangana.
PM Modi emphasised the significance of the wins, citing poll data that suggests the BJP has emerged as the clear favorite of the people for governance. He compared the party’s track record of winning state elections while in power to that of the Congress, highlighting the BJP’s superior performance.

“The overwhelming victories in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh demonstrate the unwavering trust of the people in the BJP’s leadership and governance model,” PM Modi asserted. “Our commitment to development and good governance has resonated with the electorate, leading to this historic mandate.”
Further, he drew attention to the party’s growing popularity in Mizoram and Telangana, where the BJP witnessed a substantial increase in its vote share, indicating a significant shift in regional political dynamics.
The Prime Minister’s remarks come at a crucial juncture, with the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024. These assembly victories are seen as a major boost for the BJP’s national ambitions and further solidify its position as the dominant political force in India.
Earlier Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rousing welcome from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MPs at a Parliamentary Party meeting held today, ahead of the fourth day of the Winter Session of Parliament.
BJP National President JP Nadda warmly welcomed the Prime Minister to the meeting. As PM Modi entered the room, party MPs erupted in cheers and applause, chanting “Modi ji ka swagat hai” (Welcome Modi ji) in unison. The atmosphere was one of jubilation and celebration, reflecting the party’s recent electoral success under PM Modi’s leadership.
“Earlier today, attended the @BJP4India Parliamentary Party meeting. Our Party Karyakartas are buoyed by the Party’s performance in the recent Assembly elections and are looking forward to working even harder in the times to come, spreading the message of development among people of all walks of life. We will continue to fulfil people’s aspirations and empower the poorest, downtrodden and marginalised,” said the Prime Minister in his post on X formerly known as Twitter.
