Addressing party delegates at Bharat Mandapam during the two-day national convention, BJP national president J P Nadda expressed confidence in the Modi government’s prospects, predicting a third consecutive term in power after the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, anticipated in April-May. Nadda asserted, “We have to cross 370 seats, and the NDA has to cross 400.”
Nadda underscored the remarkable achievements of the BJP in the past decade under PM Modi’s guidance, contrasting it with the challenges and triumphs witnessed throughout the party’s history, including periods of struggle, neglect, and electoral victories and losses.
Reflecting on the party’s journey, Nadda highlighted the historical milestones, including the formation of a government with an absolute majority in 2014 after three decades, followed by another resounding victory in 2019 under PM Modi’s leadership. He credited the hard work and dedication of party leaders for elevating the convention to a grand scale.
Urging party members to channel all their efforts towards achieving this target and surpassing previous records, Nadda emphasized the significance of the event, labeling it as a momentous occasion. He welcomed and commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his transformative leadership in politics, within the party, and across society.
