CHANDIGARH, FEBRUARY 26
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Monday distributed appointment letters to 457 newly recruited individuals across various departments. Speaking at the event, Mann reiterated the government’s steadfast commitment to fostering the active participation of youth in driving Punjab’s socio-economic development forward. Mann took pride in the government’s merit-based selection process, which has seen over 40,000 young individuals chosen for various positions. He highlighted the strategic aim of these initiatives to stem the tide of brain drain from Punjab and create opportunities that incentivize youth to remain in the state.

Emphasizing Punjab’s fertile ground for growth, Mann commended the indomitable spirit of its people, characterized by a strong work ethic and resilience. The appointments spanned a wide array of departments, including Water Supply and Sanitation, Animal Husbandry, Youth Services, Excise and Taxation, among others. The event was attended by Cabinet Ministers Harpal Cheema, Chetan Singh Jauramajra, and Harbhajan Singh.
