The News Freedom

Chandigarh, December 18

In the last 30 hours, a whirlwind of speculation swept across social media platforms, circulating unverified reports about India’s most wanted  terrorist and notorious fugitive, Dawood Ibrahim being admitted to a hospital in Karachi, Pakistan. The news of his poisoning spread through cyberspace, igniting a wildfire of conjecture.

However, amidst the deluge of viral messages and posts, official confirmation from relevant authorities remained conspicuously absent. The silence from official channels only fueled the frenzy, intensifying the speculative storm gripping the online realm.

In a dramatic turn of events, Pakistan witnessed an abrupt shutdown of internet services, effectively silencing the cacophony of voices on social media platforms. The blackout left citizens grappling with an information void, as access to online networks and communication channels came to an abrupt halt.

The puzzling blackout prompted widespread conjecture, with some drawing connections between the purported health crisis of Dawood Ibrahim and the imminent online rally scheduled by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), headed by former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. Speculations ran rife that the internet suspension might be a preemptive measure to thwart potential unrest or misinformation during the scheduled political event.

While authorities remained tight-lipped about the shutdown and the rumored hospitalization of Dawood Ibrahim, the vacuum of information only added fuel to the fire of speculation.

As the online blackout persisted, citizens and netizens alike grappled with an unsettling void, navigating a digital landscape muted by the absence of connectivity and clarity. The unverified reports coupled with the unprecedented internet shutdown created an atmosphere of uncertainty and raised eyebrows about the intersection of information, security measures, and political events in the digital age.
