Sculpted by renowned artist Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, the 51-inch idol stands as a majestic embodiment of devotion and hope. Its arrival marks a crucial milestone in the temple’s construction, culminating in the grand ‘pran pratishtha’ or consecration ceremony on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today called upon the people of India to illuminate the Ram Jyoti on January 22, marking the auspicious day of Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala. “As you light the Ram Jyoti, let its glow inspire you to combat poverty. Our government’s commitment to governance is guided by the principles of Lord Ram,” he said.
Prime Minister, at the heart of this momentous occasion, has begun meticulous preparations to lead the nation in this historic event. According to reports, the Prime Minister is adhering to strict rituals, sleeping on the temple floor with a simple blanket and sustaining himself solely on coconut water.
As the nation’s anticipation reaches a fever pitch, the newly placed Ram idol stands as a beacon of faith and unity, reminding all of the long-cherished dream finally coming to fruition. With PM Modi leading the way, Ayodhya is set to witness a ceremony etched in history, marking a new chapter in India’s spiritual journey. In a heartfelt message to the public, PM Modi has already urged devotees to postpone their pilgrimage to Ayodhya until January 23. His request stems from a desire to prioritize “Lord Ram’s comfort” and ensure a smooth ceremony for the deity’s grand installation. Union Minister, Anurag Thakur, also shared a photo of the idol, depicting a five-year-old Ram in his post on social media platform x formerly known as Twitter.
