The Budget Session of Parliament is set to commence from January 31, extending until February 9, featuring the presentation of the interim budget by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1. The session will kick off with President Droupadi Murmu addressing the joint meeting of both Houses.
In addition to it, speaking at a seminar in Gandhinagar on ‘Gift City – An Aspiration of Modern India,’ Sitharaman endorsed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bold vision for India to achieve developed nation status by 2047. She emphasized the need for a stable government and visionary leadership to propel India forward, shedding old inhibitions.
Highlighting India’s FinTech landscape, Sitharaman noted an impressive 87% adoption rate, surpassing the global average of 64%. This statistic underscores the pivotal role of technology in fostering financial inclusion and empowerment across the nation.
