A wave of joyous anticipation sweeps across India, and Himachal Pradesh stands united in celebrating the historic consecration ceremony of Lord Ram’s idol in Ayodhya. Embracing this momentous occasion, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced a public holiday for the state on January 22nd, Monday, allowing all residents to immerse themselves in the festivities.
This public holiday reflects the deep-seated faith and cultural significance of Lord Ram in Himachal Pradesh. It serves as a powerful gesture of solidarity with the grand “Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha” ceremony unfolding in Ayodhya.
But Chief Minister Sukhu’s call to celebration extends beyond a day off. He has also appealed to the people of Himachal Pradesh to light earthen lamps at their homes on the occasion. This simple act carries immense symbolic weight, representing the illumination of hope, faith, and devotion that shines alongside the consecration ceremony.
