External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar and France’s Diplomatic Advisor Emmanuel Bonne held talks on Friday, highlighting “strong convergence” on various issues and sharing perspectives on global developments.
Discussing topics of mutual interest, they underscored areas of agreement, Jaishankar later tweeted. The diplomats also exchanged views on “global developments of mutual concern,” Jaishankar added.
Looking ahead, Jaishankar expressed his anticipation for French President Emmanuel Macron’s upcoming state visit to India during Republic Day celebrations in January. This high-profile visit is expected to further strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.
