Dhankhar highlighted that India has been unfairly evaluated by some global entities on human rights issues. He challenged them to delve deeper into India’s performance and not just scratch the surface. He emphasised the need for such entities to recognize “India’s governance model that is free from corruption, favouritism, and nepotism. It’s dictated by transparency, accountability, and merit.”
The Vice President underscored the importance of transparent and accountable governance as a “game-changer” for promoting human rights, especially for vulnerable sections of society. He further highlighted that the utilization of technology in service delivery has also played a crucial role in fortifying this advancement.
Dhankhar’s address underscores India’s commitment to human rights and its leadership role in promoting these fundamental rights globally. It serves as a call to action for all stakeholders to continue working together to ensure the protection and promotion of human rights for all.
