CHANDIGARH, FEBRUARY 25
The Haryana unit president of the Indian National Lok Dal, Nafe Singh Rathee, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Jhajjar district on Sunday, according to a senior party leader. Rathee, a former MLA, was in an SUV when the assailants, traveling in a car, launched the attack in Bahadurgarh town, INLD leader Abhay Chautala told the media.

Talking to the media, AAP Haryana president Sushil Gupta said that disturbing reports from Jhajjar indicate the tragic demise of Haryana INLD President Nafe Singh and his associates due to gunfire. “This pervasive sense of insecurity spares no one in the state. Business figures face violent extortion, while politicians meet their demise on the open roads. Will the state administration prioritize restoring law and order, or will the Chief Minister remain preoccupied with election rallies, neglecting the safety of its citizens?” he said.
