US President Joe Biden has left the White House for a trip to Israel to demonstrate his steadfast support for Israel in the face of Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack and to consult on next steps. However, Biden had cancelled his trip to Jordan for a meeting with leaders of Jordan, Egypt and Palestine as the Palestinian Authority cancelled the summit following a huge explosion at a hospital in Gaza
