The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) revealed its fifth list of candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections on Sunday, nominating actor Kangana Ranaut from Mandi and once again selecting Maneka Gandhi for the Sultanpur constituency. Notably, Arun Govil, known for portraying Lord Ram in the acclaimed TV series “Ramayan,” has been fielded from the Meerut seat. With this announcement, the BJP disclosed candidates for 111 Lok Sabha seats.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president J.P. Nadda, and Home Minister Amit Shah took part in the meeting convened yesterday by the BJP to finalize the list of candidates at the BJP office in New Delhi.
After the ticket announcement, Kangana Ranaut took to the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, to express her gratitude. She stated, “My beloved Bharat and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have always had my unwavering support. Today, the national leadership of BJP has announced me as their Lok Sabha candidate from my birthplace, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.” Ranaut affirmed her commitment to the party’s decision to contest the Lok Sabha polls, expressing honor and elation at her official induction into the party. She eagerly anticipates fulfilling her role as a dedicated worker and dependable public servant, concluding with gratitude for the opportunity.

In a significant move, the party has replaced its Pilibhit MP Varun Gandhi with former Congress MP Jitin Prasada. Furthermore, Union ministers Ashwini Kumar Choubey and V K Singh have been omitted from the list, while Dharmendra Pradhan has been nominated for the Sambalpur constituency. The BJP, on its social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, has posted the latest list comprising all the party’s candidates.
