Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday lauded the inauguration of the school, expressing his delight in being present at the auspicious event. He remarked that at first glance, the school’s infrastructure would belie its status as a government institution, suggesting that private schools with comparable amenities would demand exorbitant fees. Kejriwal emphasized the transformative potential of such schools, particularly for students from marginalized backgrounds, envisioning them as platforms for academic excellence and individual growth. Continuing their spree to ensure access of the students to quality education, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal along with the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann today dedicated 13 new Schools of Eminence to the people of the state thereby further achieving a milestone in the education revolution in the state.
On the occasion, Kejriwal underscored the confidence instilled in students by these institutions, enabling them to compete with their privately educated counterparts. He highlighted the overwhelming response to admissions, indicating the widespread demand for quality education.
Drawing comparisons with previous administrations, Kejriwal commended Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s proactive engagement with educational and healthcare facilities. He reiterated the pivotal role of education in driving socio-economic progress, asserting that these schools would serve as catalysts for the advancement of underprivileged communities.
Kejriwal criticized the Union government for withholding substantial funds earmarked for Punjab’s development, estimating the amount at approximately Rs 8000 crore. He advocated for bolstering Mann’s leadership by allocating all 13 Lok Sabha seats in favor of the Aam Aadmi Party, positioning it as a formidable force against regressive policies.
The Delhi Chief Minister’s remarks underscored the significance of empowering regional leaders to confront central authorities and champion the interests of their constituents.
