The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has firmly ruled out the possibility of forming an alliance with the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Punjab, opting instead to contest independently. Punjab BJP chief Sunil Jakhar elaborated on this stance, citing it as a decision derived from the sentiments expressed by both the populace and party members within the state. Jakhar supplemented this announcement by disseminating a video outlining the intricacies of the decision-making process on the social media platform X, formerly recognized as Twitter.
