NEW DELHI, MARCH 8
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann officially kicked off the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) campaign for the Lok Sabha elections on Friday, unveiling the slogan “Sansad mein bhi Kejriwal, toh Dilli hogi aur khush haal” (With Kejriwal in Parliament, Delhi will prosper and thrive) in New Delhi. On this occasion, Mann predicted a sweeping victory of 13 seats for the AAP in Punjab, while also accusing the Centre of impeding the progress of the Kejriwal-led Delhi government and withholding funds allocated to Punjab.
Asserting that a significant AAP representation in the Lok Sabha would prevent any hindrance to Punjab’s development initiatives, Mann emphasized the importance of electing AAP members to Parliament. Meanwhile, Kejriwal directed criticism towards the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Central government, and the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, accusing them of obstructing the functioning of his administration. He urged the public to bless the AAP-Congress coalition by securing victories for all seven candidates contesting from Delhi.
Kejriwal reiterated his commitment to serving the people of Delhi, emphasizing his dedication to public welfare above all else.
