Prime Minister Narendra Modi underscores the government’s commitment to good governance inspired by the ideals of Ram, emphasizing honesty and the spirit of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas. Reflecting on Ramcharitmanas, he reiterates the focus on the welfare of the poor.
Recalling a time when basic amenities were lacking for the poor, Modi highlights the mission-mode approach, providing 10 crore ‘Izzat Ghar’ and 4 crore pucca houses. The PM emphasizes the government’s path of ‘dignity of labour,’ ‘self-reliant worker,’ and ‘welfare of the poor,’ reassuring citizens that their dreams are his resolution.
Addressing the gathering Solapur, the city of ‘Shramiks,’ Modi shares his personal connection and acknowledges the support received during his early days. He discusses efforts to provide affordable urban housing and fair rent societies for migrant laborers.
The Prime Minister points out the failures of past poverty alleviation programs due to lack of intent and middleman pilferage. He guarantees direct benefit transfer to beneficiaries, with over 30 lakh crore rupees transferred in the last decade through the JAM trinity.
Highlighting the government’s focus on poverty eradication, Modi announces the lifting of 25 crore people out of poverty in the last 9 years. The Prime Minister lays the foundation stone for 8 AMRUT projects worth Rs 2,000 crores, dedicates over 90,000 houses under PMAY-Urban, and initiates the distribution of PM-SVANIDHI instalments to 10,000 beneficiaries in Maharashtra.
