Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday tendered an apology for his objectionable remarks on how educated women can help in birth control made on the floor of the assembly yesterday. Speaking in the Bihar Assembly, Chief Minister said, “I take my words back. I am ashamed and apologise for my remarks.”
Nitish Kumar retracted his statement after leaders of many political leaders demanded an apology and also his resignation.
Taking a dig at Nitish Kumar’s controversial remarks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said that a big leader of the I.N.D.I. alliance, ‘Ghamandiya Gathbandhan’ used indecent language for women inside Assembly yesterday. They are not ashamed. No leader of the I.N.D.I. alliance said a single word against it. People who think like this about women, can they do anything good for you?”.
