Prime Minister Narendra Modi today asserted that he only sounds the bugle of development, and it is the people who sound the poll bugle for him. In Bulandshahr of Uttar Pradesh, the Prime Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a comprehensive range of development projects amounting to over Rs 19,100 crores.

Addressing a large gathering, Prime Minister Modi expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from the people of Bulandshahr, particularly acknowledging the significant presence of mothers and sisters. He extended thanks for the divine experience of Lord Shri Ram’s darshan on January 22 and the participation of the people of Uttar Pradesh in the day’s events. Commending Bulandshahr and Western Uttar Pradesh, he lauded the development projects exceeding Rs 19,000 crores, encompassing railways, highways, petroleum pipelines, water management, sewage, medical colleges, and industrial townships. Additionally, he highlighted the inauguration of initiatives related to the cleanliness campaigns of the Yamuna and Ram Ganga rivers.

Emphasizing the substantial contributions of figures like Kalyan Singh from the region, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the realization of their dreams, particularly in Ayodhya. He stressed the need to build momentum towards the collective goals of a robust nation and genuine social justice. Reflecting on the completion of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, he underscored the importance of elevating ‘Rashtra Pratishtha’ to new heights, aligning with the government’s vision to transform India into a developed nation by 2047.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the historical imbalance in Uttar Pradesh’s development post-independence, attributing it to neglect and divisive politics. Criticizing past ruling mentalities, he questioned how the nation could be strong if its largest state remained weak. He pointed to the positive changes since the formation of the double-engine government in Uttar Pradesh in 2017, citing advancements in defense corridors, national highways, expressways, metro connectivity, and the state’s emergence as a hub for dedicated freight corridors.

Highlighting the economic significance, the Prime Minister noted the upcoming Jewar Airport and proclaimed that Western Uttar Pradesh is evolving into a major job provider region in the country. He disclosed plans for four world-class Industrial Smart cities, inaugurating one in Greater Noida during the event. This township is poised to benefit industries, small businesses, and local farmers.

Prime Minister Modi addressed agricultural concerns, emphasizing the importance of connectivity through projects like airports and dedicated freight corridors. He praised the double-engine government for increased sugarcane prices, prompt payments to farmers, and the focus on ethanol production.

Underscoring the government’s commitment to farmer welfare, he detailed initiatives like low-cost fertilizers and the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, which has transferred Rs 2.75 lakh crores to farmers’ bank accounts. The Prime Minister highlighted the expansion of cooperatives and the creation of storage facilities across the country.

Promoting the modernization of farming, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the role of women in agriculture, introducing the NaMo Drone Didi scheme where women self-help groups are trained as drone pilots. He discussed various public welfare schemes, from housing and sanitation to crop insurance and health coverage, stressing the government’s commitment to inclusivity.

Concluding his address, Prime Minister Modi reassured the public that the campaign for empowerment will persist, touching the lives of villagers, the poor, youth, women, and farmers. He declared, “For me, you are my family. Your dream is my resolution,” pledging to keep the nation’s wealth aligned with the empowerment of its citizens. The event was attended by dignitaries including Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Anandiben Patel, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Brajesh Pathak, and Union Minister of State of Road Transport and Highways of India, Gen (Retd) V K Singh, among others.
