Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the Economic Survey tabled in Parliament presents a comprehensive picture of India’s reform-led growth, showing steady progress despite a challenging global environment.
In a message posted on social media, Mr Modi said the survey pointed to strong macroeconomic fundamentals, sustained growth momentum and the growing role of innovation, entrepreneurship and infrastructure in nation-building.
He said the document underlined the importance of inclusive development, with particular focus on farmers, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), youth employment and social welfare.
According to the prime minister, the survey also sets out a roadmap for strengthening manufacturing, improving productivity and accelerating India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation, or “Viksit Bharat”.
Mr Modi said the insights provided by the Economic Survey would help guide informed policymaking and reinforce confidence in India’s economic future.
The prime minister was responding to a post by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, who had earlier shared details of the survey after it was tabled.
