The News Freedom

Chandigarh, January 15

In an unusual turn of events, a young man’s elaborate attempt to deceive officials by impersonating his girlfriend unfolded into a comedic spectacle at an examination center in Faridkot, Punjab. On January 7, the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences conducted a multi-purpose health workers exam at DAV Public School in Kotkapura. Angrez Singh, hailing from Fazilka, embarked on the audacious mission of assuming the identity of his girlfriend, Paramjit Kaur, adorned in red bangles, a bindi, lipstick, and a ladies’ suit, as per media reports. However, the whimsical episode took an unexpected turn as university officials swiftly detected the ruse and subsequently filed a complaint with the local police.

According to law enforcement, Angrez Singh went to great lengths in his endeavor, employing counterfeit voter and Aadhar cards to substantiate his claim as Paramjit Kaur. The seemingly foolproof plan unraveled when his fingerprints failed to align with those of the authentic candidate on the biometric device. Regrettably, Paramjit Kaur had her application rejected by the administration amidst the unfolding drama. Simultaneously, legal proceedings have been initiated against Angrez Singh in light of his deceptive actions.
