Sangrur hooch tragedy: Mann meets families of victims

SANGRUR, MARCH 24

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann convened with the families of the victims who tragically lost their lives due to the consumption of counterfeit liquor in Gujran village, located in Sangrur district of Punjab, on Sunday. Addressing the bereaved families, Mann disclosed that the police have initiated legal proceedings by registering a murder case against 10 individuals allegedly involved in the incident. Additionally, he affirmed the government’s commitment to thoroughly investigate potential links these accused may have within Punjab. Mann emphasized that if further networks engaging in the illicit sale of spurious liquor are identified, they will be apprehended and prosecuted under Section 302 of the law.
