SEC issues schedule to prepare electoral rolls

The State Election Commission(SEC)  has issued the schedule for the preparation of electoral rolls of 5 municipal corporations including Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Patiala and Phagwara. The  SEC has drawn up the schedule for the preparation of electoral rolls  as per latest wardbandi carried out by the Department of Local Government.   The SEC said that the general public falling under the jurisdiction of concerned municipal corporations is hereby informed that they can file claims and objections before the concerned ERO, within the time frame of the schedule.

PROGRAMME FOR PREPARATION OF ELECTORAL ROLLS

1.       Preparation of Electoral Rolls upto          19-10-2023

2.       Draft publication of Electoral Rolls by         21-10-2023

3.       Last date for filing claims and Objections  31-10-2023

4.       Disposal of claims and objections by          08-11-2023

5.       Final publication of Electoral Roll on        10-11-2023
