One day prior to the farmers’ Delhi Chalo march, the Director General of Police (DGP) Punjab issued orders to stop the movement of JCBs, Poclaines, Tippers, Hydras, and other heavy earthmoving equipment towards the Punjab-Haryana Border at Khanauri and Shambu. The Punjab DGP directed all the SSPs and CPs to halt heavy earth-removing equipment from reaching the Punjab-Haryana border after receiving a formal written request from the Haryana DGP.
