At least 20 people are believed to be dead from a mass shooting in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday evening, according to multiple sources briefed on the situation. Dozens of other people were injured, sources said. The person of interest is still at large and has been on the run for hours, law enforcement said., ABC News reported. The shooting may have unfolded in multiple locations, including a bowling alley where a children’s league was taking place and a local bar, officials said, as per the report.

According to CNN report, Lewiston police have identified 40-year-old Robert Card of Bowdoin as a person of interest, saying he should be “considered armed and dangerous.” Law enforcement officials in Maine say Card is a certified firearms instructor and a member of the US Army Reserve. Card had recently made threats to carry out a shooting at a National Guard facility in Saco, Maine, and also reported mental health issues, including hearing voices, the officials said, a report said.
