NEW DELHI, MARCH 3

Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged his ministers on Sunday to fully engage in winning the support of the people during the upcoming elections. According to media reports citing the news agency PTI, during a meeting to discuss the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision document, the Prime Minister conveyed to his ministers, “We will meet again after winning (polls).”

Prime Minister Modi and his Cabinet held a crucial meeting to discuss the “Viksit Bharat 2047” vision document, outlining a detailed strategy to transform India into a developed nation by 2047. This meeting, held a day after the BJP released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, signifies the government’s commitment to this ambitious goal.

According to sources and media reports, the ministers discussed the action plan that prioritizes swift action, with a dedicated strategy for the first 100 days after the new government formation in May 2024. The blueprint is the culmination of extensive consultations over two years, involving various stakeholders such as state governments, academic institutions, and industry leaders. Youth engagement has been a cornerstone of this process, with over 2 million young individuals contributing their ideas through meetings and workshops.

Furthermore, the discussion encompassed the comprehensive scope of Viksit Bharat 2047, which goes beyond mere economic growth. It includes achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), enhancing the quality of life, streamlining business operations, and strengthening infrastructure and social welfare initiatives. The vision of a “developed India” by 2047 has been consistently emphasized by Prime Minister Modi and his cabinet.
