Prime Minister Narendra Modi showered Ayodhya with a whopping Rs 15,700 crore worth of development projects today, setting the stage for the city’s transformation and gearing it up for the upcoming Ram Temple inauguration.

Amidst fervent enthusiasm, PM Modi inaugurated the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station, flagged off new “Amrit Bharat” trains (dedicated to the common man), and unveiled the newly named Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. He laid foundation stones for multiple projects, including a greenfield township and residential projects, aimed at improving infrastructure and boosting tourism.

In his address, PM Modi emphasized the harmonious blending of ancient heritage and modern development. He highlighted the grand temple of Ram Lala alongside initiatives like pucca houses for the poor, linking Kashi Vishwanath Dham with panchayat bhawans, and revamping Kedar Dham with medical colleges.

“Today’s India is moving while incorporating both ancient and modern,” he declared, showcasing India’s progress in space, ocean exploration, and reclaiming heritage artifacts.

Looking ahead to the Ram Temple’s inauguration on January 22, PM Modi described the occasion as a celebration of “progress today and tradition soon after.” He emphasized that this unique confluence of development and heritage will propel India forward in the 21st century.

He reiterated his vision for Ayodhya, not just as a pilgrimage center but as a driver of development for the entire Uttar Pradesh. He pointed to the expected surge in pilgrims and tourists and the revamped infrastructure being put in place to meet the demand.

PM Modi expressed delight at Ayodhya receiving its first Amrit Bharat train, underscoring its focus on affordable and comfortable travel for all. He also highlighted the role of Vande Bharat trains in connecting heritage sites, with Ayodhya now joining the network.

Recognizing the ancient tradition of yatras, PM Modi assured devotees of improved facilities in Ayodhya. He called upon all 140 crore Indians to light “Shri Ram Jyoti” in support of this historic moment and contribute to the country’s new energy.

Anticipating the influx of visitors, PM Modi urged pilgrims to plan their visit after January 23rd to ensure smooth arrangements and security. He also emphasized the importance of cleanliness and called for a nationwide cleanliness campaign at pilgrimage sites from January 14th.

PM Modi concluded his address by reiterating his commitment to serving the people. He emphasized his “Modi’s guarantee” of delivering on promises, citing the success of the Ujjwala Gas scheme as an example. “This city of Ayodhya is also a witness to this,” he declared, assuring the people that no stone will be left unturned in Ayodhya’s development.
