Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar affirmed the government’s recognition of the invaluable contribution made by farmers, pledging unwavering support in all endeavors. Speaking during the budget presentation, Khattar highlighted the direct transfer of Rs 297.58 crore into farmers’ accounts as compensation for the fiscal year 2023-24 through the e-compensation portal. Furthermore, he outlined the government’s commitment to enhancing agricultural infrastructure, noting the successful improvement of 52,695 acres of saline and waterlogged areas utilizing sub-surface and vertical drainage technology. A total expenditure of Rs 80.40 crore was allocated for this purpose, surpassing the targeted improvement of 50,000 acres set for the year 2023-24.
