New Delhi, April 15

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled its eagerly awaited manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha election, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘GYAN’ agenda taking center stage, emphasizing the upliftment of the poor, youth, farmers, and women. The  Prime Minister Modi, accompanied by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP chief JP Nadda, presented the party’s manifesto at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi delineated the manifesto’s core principles, revolving around the four pillars of Viksit Bharat — women empowerment, youth empowerment, agriculture, and poverty alleviation. He stressed the importance of enhancing the “dignity of life” and ensuring both quantity and quality of opportunities for all citizens. Promising initiatives such as universal piped gas connections and free solar electricity, Modi outlined the government’s vision.

The manifesto commits to extending the Centre’s free ration scheme for another five years and aims for self-sufficiency in essential food production to stabilize prices and ensure food security. Additionally, it pledges to expand schemes like Ayushman Bharat and PM Awas Yojana, and provide access to clean drinking water in every household.

In the agricultural sector, the BJP manifesto promises continued annual financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 to farmers, improvements in crop insurance through technology, periodic increases in Minimum Support Prices, establishment of new production clusters, and the construction of additional storage facilities.

Addressing the media, BJP president Nadda highlighted the government’s accomplishments over the past decade, reiterating the party’s key slogan ‘Modi ki guarantee’ and its commitment to fulfilling all promises made.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who chaired the 27-member committee that drafted the manifesto, emphasized the BJP’s track record of delivering on its pledges from the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, including the abrogation of Article 370, passage of the women reservation Bill, and the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

Singh underscored the extensive consultation process that informed the manifesto’s formulation, drawing from 15 lakh suggestions nationwide. He described Modi’s guarantee as “24 karat gold,” positioning the manifesto as the benchmark for political pledges globally.

During the manifesto launch, the BJP also honored several beneficiaries of the government’s welfare schemes.
