In a pointed remark aimed at the Congress party, Home Minister Amit Shah asserted on Sunday that the ascent of a tea seller’s son to the position of Prime Minister would not have been possible if the BJP embraced family-run politics. Shah voiced his conviction that his party would clinch victory in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election. Addressing party members at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) convention in New Delhi, Shah confidently stated, “There is no doubt in the country; people have decided that PM Modi will retain power.”
“In 75 years, this country has witnessed 17 Lok Sabha elections, 22 governments, and 15 prime ministers. Despite varied governmental approaches to development over the decades, I assert today, without any ambiguity, that comprehensive progress, spanning every sector and individual, has been achieved only during PM Narendra Modi’s tenure,” Shah remarked.
Highlighting the broad-ranging advancements achieved under the Modi administration within a decade, Shah also praised PM Modi’s foreign policy approach. He lauded Modi’s commitment to national security, noting a shift from the notion that diplomacy required compromising security. Shah lauded Modi’s efforts to position India globally, describing him as striving to make India a ‘Vishwamitra’ and fostering a sense of global unity encapsulated in ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, emphasizing the world as one large family.
The convention, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP chief JP Nadda, and several other senior leaders, saw Shah emphasizing the developmental strides made under Modi’s leadership.
